Bio
Born in Detroit, Mary Mulhern graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1982.
For 13 years, Mulhern was Registrar for Loans and Exhibitions at the Art Institute of Chicago. She managed the world-renowned museum’s national and international exhibition and loans program where she oversaw contracts, insurance, transportation, conservation and budgets for exhibitions valued at close to a billion dollars.
After moving to Tampa, in 1998 Mary opened a consulting business, Mulhern Fine Arts Management, providing services to museums and private collectors.
Mary is a graphic designer and copywriter and was a freelance journalist, writing on art, design, architecture and urban planning for Creative Loafing and the Tampa Tribune.
Mary was elected to Tampa City Council, District 2 in 2007, and represents Tampa citywide. She is on the following boards and committees.

Mulhern is married to Cameron Dilley, an independent marketing consultant and creative director and one of the founders of Community Radio WMNF. They have two children, Isabel and Miles.
